No "Developer options" under Advanced settings on Chrome for Android???

I'm trying to perform remote debugging as described here, but when I bring up the setting menu on Chrome for Android 31.0.1650.59 on my Samsung Galaxy S3 running Android 4.1.2.

I have USB debugging on the system's developers options.

Am I missing something?

I think it was simplified. Try going to chrome:inspect in your desktop Chrome while the phone (with USB debugging enabled) is plugged into your computer. I think you should see your device or the tabs or your device there.

I think https://groups.google.com/d/forum/google-chrome-developer-tools is a better group for this discussion, though.

Yes, I see my device when I perform "chrome:inspect" on my desktop Chrome!

I guess that the developer options setting no longer exists in Android Chrome and USB debugging Android Chrome must always be enabled, or at least enabled if USB debugging in the Android OS settings is enabled.

Correct. You only need to enable USB debugging on the device in order to make Web debugging working in Chrome for Android starting from version 31. We will update the docs.

Please follow the link for enabling the developer options if you don't see them. That will explain how to get the options on newer devices where they are hidden-by-default.
