Hello everyone, can someone give me a scientific explanation why Google Chrome automatically refreshes? It refreshes if I switch from one tab to the next even for a mere few seconds. Is there a way to stop this from occurring? I am paying someone $150 month to enter data, because I could not bear Google Chrome refreshing whenever I moved from one tab of data to another tab of data.

Thank you in advance.

This is probably the tab discarding feature.
It comes into play when your available memory (RAM) is running low, basically shutting down tabs that are not active.
You can control it in a few ways -
1. Go to chrome://flags/#automatic-tab-discarding and disable it.
2. Go to chrome://discards/ and toggle the 'Auto Discardable" value next to the tabs you want to keep alive for good.
3. Increase your RAM. ;)
