Hi Chrome Team,

Now the Windows 7 Freezing seemed to go away with Chrome 17.
Thanks for fixing that! :)

I'm now back using Chrome.

However, there is still this bug which has been lurking for more than 1 year:

http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Chrome/thread?tid=5767756c7f70f855&hl=en

I have an Instapaper bookmarklet that I put at the front of my Bookmark Bar.
However, as I add new bookmarks for other pages,
it start shifting the Instapaper bookmark to the right, out of the bar.
I tried moving it back to the front of the bar, but seconds after that
it goes back to end.
I tried reorder using Bookmark Manager, but the same thing happens.

Is this a sync related issue? if yes, please forward this message to that team.

Thanks,

Felix Halim

My current trick to move the "Read Later" bookmark to the front of the
bar is to delete the old, and re-bookmark it. New bookmarks always
stays at front.

Ive had the same problem for about the last year aswell and I finally
thought Id see if anything can be done about it and it turned out to
be easy.
Go to your Google Dashboard (If you are signed in with Chrome there is
a link in Settings under Sign In)...
https://www.google.com/dashboard/
Find Chrome Sync and select "Stop sync and delete data from Google".
Now go to Chromes settings and reenable syncing.
This worked for me, I can finally rearrange my bookmarks again hope it
works for you.

Hi,

A few months ago I tried PAEz's suggestions and it worked for a while.
Now, it becomes problematic again, but it is even worse with Chrome
19.0.1084.52 m
I can not even add anything to the bookmark bar.

When I drag from the address bar to the bookmark bar,
It appears for a few seconds and immediately disappear.

Is this because of the recent tab-sync feature?

Another long standing problem is that Chrome hangs the entire Windows
when I open a long YouTube video and then with my mouse, I skip the
progress bar about one centimeter ahead (to fast forward), sometimes I
click outside the pre-loaded part, sometimes not, and then after a few
clicks like that, the entire windows hangs. This problem has been
there for months.

The sad part is that after I restart my PC because of that hangs, all
of my open tabs are gone when I open Chrome the next restart. There is
no option of "restore opened tabs" anymore? I couldn't find it. (FYI,
I rarely restart my PC, I always hibernate it).

I don't know whether these problems are already in crbug?

Thanks,

Felix Halim

PAEz, thanks so much! it woks! Is there any way to make sure that this problem won't come back? Only be turning off bookmarks's sync?

Easy for me -- I set my Chrome bookmarks by frequency of use.  On the bookmark bar, just right click and cut the bookmark you want to move, then right-click the bookmark that the moved bookmark will follow and click paste.  Your bookmark will be moved.  If you want it to be the first bookmark, you have to paste the moved bookmark behind the first bookmark, then move the first bookmark somewhere else.  To recap, you can simply cut and paste book marks directly from the tool bar to get the order you want..
