Currently it is very easy to open a Folder of Favorites as a Group of Tabs (using the right-click context-menu), even in a new Window (nice).
The opposite is not as easy: Saving a Group of Tabs as a New Folder of Favorites.
Under the current state of Chrome (I'm using V. 142.0.7444.175), it involves many steps (copying the Group name, creating the new Favs folder, dragging every Tab link through the Fav Folder structure or oppening the Fav Admin in a new Tab and dragging each of them into it).
Benefits:
+ Users that have built an occasional structure in a Tab-Group, could instead save them as favorites for future use.
+ Users could be able to better organize their space to occupy less space in their list of Tab-Groups (placed in the same Favs Toolbar)
ADDITIONAL SUGGESTIONS CONCERNING TAB-GROUPS:
- This new option to "Save as a New Folder of Favorites" should also be available directly from the Tab-Group-list (located in the Fav Toolbar), without needing to open the Tab-Group.
- In this same context-menu (from the Fav Toolbar) Tab-Groups should also include the option to modify their Name and Color. This would allow users to easily organize the Tab-Groups without opening them (especially the groups created automatically from Smartphones).
- For the sake of speed, maybe it would be nice to additionally have a similar option that would also delete the Tab-Group after saving it as a New Folder of Favorites. I would call this "Convert into a New Folder of Favorites".
COMPLIMENTS:
I really loved this feature of Tab-Groups. It has helped me lots to organize the different worklows. Whoever was involved in the idea and process should receive my congratulations.
