Who can confirm the following:

On https://www.blumenmaarsen.ch, Google Chrome browser 90 (and 91 and 92) has a weakness when displaying web pages that work with background images and calculations for them.

The weakness is that after loading such a page, the browser freezes briefly, for about a second, during which time you can neither scroll nor click. After this second, the page can be used normally.

This bug exists only in Google Chrome versions 90, 91, and 92. Interestingly, the other browsers based on the Chromium project, such as Edge and the Chromium original, do not exhibit the effect.

You'll need to file a bug at https:/crbug.com

When I tried reproducing, I saw the issue the very first time I opened with M-90 Beta on linux, but after that every load works fine, including bypass-cache loads and loading with our change bisect script. Couldn't reproduce on Mac Canary either, and on Mac M-89 it takes a while for the background to load but otherwise works fine.

Stephen.
