I want to download the window binaries for older versions.

For example 33.0.1750.154 .

If I go here I can download based on build number: https://commondatastorage.googleapis.com/chromium-browser-snapshots/index.html?prefix=Win/

If I go here https://omahaproxy.appspot.com/ I can see the commit numbers but not the build numbers.

How do I go from the version (ie 33.0.1750.154) to the binary download for windows? I assume I need the build number and go to https://commondatastorage.googleapis.com/chromium-browser-snapshots/index.html?prefix=Win/ but I don't know where to get the build number.

You want Chrome or Chromium?
Chrome has stable builds, chromium does not.

Your example, v.33.0.1750.154, is an old Google Chrome stable version number, there is no Chromium Windows version with this number.
Probably you can get chromium 33.0.1750.0 from chromium-browser-snapshots or chromium-browser-continuous.

To get Chromium v. 33.0.1750.0 (or closer to this one), go to https://omahaproxy.appspot.com/
In "Position Lookup" box enter 33.0.1750.0 and you'll get "Base Position: 241107"

Now go to
https://storage.googleapis.com/chromium-browser-continuous/index.html?prefix=Win/
for chromium tested builds
or...
https://storage.googleapis.com/chromium-browser-snapshots/index.html?prefix=Win/
for completely untested builds

Now look for the closest number to 241107; for chromium-browser-continuous is 241075, so download URL for chromium 33.0.1750.0 is:
https://storage.googleapis.com/chromium-browser-continuous/index.html?prefix=Win/241075/

Now you can run mini_installer to install Chromium, or extract it twice with 7-Zip if you want to run it without installing.

Marc,

I want Chrome but Google doesn't publish old versions. If I look at my website analytics I see people still use the old versions of Chrome so I want to test the new version of the website with old versions of Chrome.

My understanding is Chrome made up of Chromium plus proprietary additions(embedded flash, mp3, etc). I've read the version numbers of Chrome and Chromium are the same. So I'm making the assumption I could test a basic website(no flash, no embedded mp3) with Chromium and get the same result as an old Chrome version.

I have few follow up questions:

1. Is my assumption about testing a basic website with Chromium to verify how it would perform with Chrome valid?

2. Since binaries don't exist for the version I want, would I need to compile the version myself? I believe so.

3. You mentioned the closest version was position 241107. Is there a way find what version of Chromium this corresponds to?

Thank you for your help!!!

Take a look to the publicly accessible google storage bucket that we use and refer in the public bisect-builds.py script, like

The simplest way to test your website with an old chromium based browser, is with SRWare Iron since it's based on Chromium.
Here you have old Iron Browser releases:

If you use Portable Iron you can have multiple versions on same system, just run one at a time.

This is very cool and should be documented somewhere! Perhaps here? http://www.chromium.org/getting-involved/download-chromium
