Does this help?

Maybe this one?

Also, when I just started with Chromium, I basically just read the commit descriptions (and sometimes also the code changes themselves). That helped set the stage for hacking on it myself, as I got to understand the terms they use better and the code at a higher level.

In terms of videos, there seem to be some out there -

If you need help with something specific that you want to tackle, fix or implement, just ask on the issue tracker of the relevant issue, or here.

I think at this stage in your career, you also should think about asking your peers for help. It's usually easier and quicker to get help from your friends, other students, and even your instructors than random folks on the Internet.

I'd start a new thread next time, rather than reusing someone else's, but this should be the best starting point:

Note that Chromium development doesn't happen on GitHub, and a lot of practices may differ somewhat from other open source projects.

Hey! I am vaishnavi, currently a 2nd year undergrad student at NIT TRICHY, India. I am new to contributing to chromium. I have contributed to open source before as well. My techstacks include html, css, javascript, python. I wanted to ask if there are issues of webdev? or is chromium too difficult for a newbie? But I really like this organisation and its working so looking forward to contribute in it. Can I get a personal mentor to guide me through codebase? I am ready to learn any new thing and apply to contribute. looking forward to contribute! Also, where can we do discussions regarding issues as on github there is no discussions section?

Chrome/Chromium uses JavaScript (sometimes as TypeScript), HTML and CSS in the Developer Tools ("Devtools", which you open by right clicking on desktop on the page and selecting "Inspect") and other places like the settings/preferences/history/downloads/extensions pages.
All of the non-developer-tools areas are generally referred to as "Web UI".

Most issues under those components require those languages (but they sometimes also require some C++ changes) -
