I'm trying to write a Python script to run on Linux, that can sync the
bookmarks between my different browsers. I have tried closing Chrome,
editing an entry in the Bookmarks file, and opening up Chrome again.
The changes do not take effect, and the file is not rolled back. I
even tried changing both the Bookmarks and Bookmarks.bak file.
At the beginning of the file, I see a checksum. How is that affecting
what I'm doing? How is that checksum actually generated? My script
will need to read and write bookmarks to this file, and my manual
attempts have failed so far.
Advice?
Thanks!

As seen on TV
>Chrome already has a feature that can keep your bookmarks in sync with other machines. See Wrench menu > Sync my bookmarks.

So it shouldn't affect >what you are doing, and Chrome should load the bookmarks you added. But I wonder why it's not happening in your case.
