Looks like https://chromium-cpp.appspot.com/ is now returning a 500 error on every page load. Does anyone know who runs that service?

Thanks, looking.

In the meantime, you can see the same information in unstyled form at https://source.chromium.org/chromium/chromium/src/+/main:styleguide/c++/c++11.html

Is there a reason that page is styled in HTML and needs a separate server to host it, instead of just being styled in Markdown?

Back when it was added (2014) we didn't yet have gitiless and md preview, is the main reason.

It's been working without problems since (well, until now), so there wasn't a reason to change it.

I filed crbug.com/1243839 to move c++11.html to c++11.md.

Of course, once I started converting it I realized the real hurdle: it's really ugly to reproduce the tables on that page in gitiles markdown. Each table row has to be on one line, so you get:

Feature or Library | Snippet | Description | Documentation Link | Notes and Discussion Thread
-------------------|---------|-------------|--------------------|----------------------------
Inline Namespaces | `inline namespace foo { ... }` | Allows better versioning of namespaces | [Inline namespaces](http://en.cppreference.com/w/cpp/language/namespace#Inline_namespaces) | Banned in the [Google Style Guide](https://google.github.io/styleguide/cppguide.html#Namespaces). Unclear how it will work with components.

And that's not even the longest entry...

I have a markdown conversion of the c++11/abseil features list up for review at crrev.com/c/3123974. The content is the same as the HTML version but it needed heavy reformatting.

I expect people will have Opinions on the formatting changes. Please take a look!
