How to add an SSL certificate under Chromium codebase?

I am trying to add my custom SSL CA certificate in chromium based browser(version 108). I have made changes src\net\data\ssl\chrome_root_store\root_store.textproto and root_store.certs but the certificate isn't getting loaded in the browser. Can anyone guide me are there any changes which I am missing or doing something wrong? Thanks
