We're thrilled to announce the launch of Chrome on Linux on the Canary channel! This has been a long-awaited addition, as Linux was the only platform without a dedicated Canary channel until now.
Why This Matters:
Faster Bug Identification and Resolution: Previously, we had to rely on dev channel data or perform local verification for Linux-specific bugs. With the Canary channel, we can catch and address these issues much earlier in the development cycle.
Improved Testing and Feedback: The Canary channel provides developers and early adopters with access to the latest Chrome features and updates. This will enable us to gather more comprehensive feedback and improve the overall quality of Chrome on Linux.
Twice-Daily Updates: The Linux Canary channel will follow the same rapid update cadence as other platforms, with two releases per day. This ensures that our Linux users are always on the latest Chrome development version.
Releases: You can track the Linux Canary releases here: https://chromiumdash.appspot.com/releases?platform=Linux.
Stability : You can track Linux Canary Related Crashes here : https://crash.corp.google.com/root?platform=linux
We encourage everyone to try out the new Linux Canary channel and provide feedback! Your input is invaluable in helping us build the best possible Chrome experience for Linux users.
Thank you Srinivas on Behalf of many cross functional teams
