Is there chromium LTS version?

Hello,

I would like to know if Chromium has a concept of an LTS (Long Term Support) version.

If not, should I use the latest stable branch, build on top of it, and continuously upgrade my custom branch with Chromium updates?

Additionally, is there a way to stay on a particular stable branch and receive only security fixes for that branch? These types of branches are typically referred to as LTS.

The extended stable branch is the closest thing chromium has to an LTS version. More information about it can be found on https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src/+/master/docs/process/release_cycle.md#Extended-Stable.

Security fixes are only backported to active release branches, meaning extended stable is the oldest version that will get security fixes.

Does chromeOS LTS not apply to chromium browser ?
This URL says chromeOS 126 is LTS.

Yes, ChromeOS LTS maintains a corresponding version of Chrome, but it is exclusive for ChromeOS.
