As of this morning, we have migrated all Chromium CQ builders and their corresponding waterfall builders from Buildbot to the LUCI stack.

What does this mean for you?

All automatically triggered commit queue builds under the Chromium project will now run on LUCI builders. This means CQ builds gain the benefits of the improved LUCI stack. For example, master restarts will no longer affect CQ builds (No more interrupts!).

What’s next?

There’s still more work to do as there are many builders still running on Buildbot. We have put together an accelerated schedule to mirror and migrate remaining Chromium builders.

Have questions?

Check out the Chromium Dev FAQ for details on the migration. You can also reach out to us by directly responding to this email or emailing us at infr...@chromium.org. Feedback is always welcomed.

P.S. This is a major milestone for the LUCI task force. Many people were involved in getting us to this point. A big thank you to the teams and folks who helped along the way.

Regards,

Eric Foo on behalf of the Chrome Operations Foundation team

Woo!

As you say, a major milestone.

I want to particularly congratulate / thank you all for making the actual transitions nearly invisible to devs :).

This is great! Extra thanks to CCI and Foundation folks who did the boring work of migrating individual builders!

Congratulations! This is really awesome -- we are one huge step closer to a unified Luci world!

+1, this went really smoothly.

Since the blue LUCI boxes now add no information, can we get rid of them again? (And maybe add NOT LUCI to optional non-default trybots while non-luci bots are still around)?
