When I do this :
gclient sync --force

It will use svn to sync the code.  How I can use Git? Please list the  command line.  thanks!

Fellow it,get this error:
svn: E170001: Unable to connect to a repository at URL 'svn://svn.chromium.org/c
hrome'
svn: E170001: Can't get username or password
Please run `svn ls svn://svn.chromium.org/chrome`

And I do this : svn ls svn://svn.chromium.org/chrome
It let me insert username and passwd, But I am not a commiter!

Ehm, actually what you want to follow (for SVN) is:

in particular the one for non committers (where the urls begin with http:// not svn://)

If you prefer git, mmoss@ al recently setup a pure-git workflow which allows to just use tags:

See the discussion here:

Oh, right, 2nd was meant to be:

Btw, just look for "git" "tags" "release" in chromium-dev, I'm sure there are plenty of posts :)
