Stable vs unstable build targets

Greetings,

Ninja lists two targets

chrome/installer/linux:stable_deb and chrome/installer/linux:unstable_deb

Are these targets supposed to indicate builds performed for stable vs beta or canary builds or do they change any other build settings to create different build?

Do build flags change? Are contents of DEB files identical otherwise?

I can't speak for the entire code base, but I don't recall there being a BUILDFLAG for the channel. However, the code to get the channel, e.g. in components/version_info, will return different results at run time.

In the past, different channels have sometimes included different files. You can build both targets and compare the unpacked .deb contents to see if that's still the case.
