I've been trying to bring my Windows environment up to date according to the directions at http://dev.chromium.org/developers/how-tos/build-instructions-windows#TOC-Additional-free-downloads.  I have Windows 7 and Visual Studio 2008.  I installed VS2008 Service Pack 1,  KB967631, and  KB960075, but when I got to KB958842 I got the error message:

None of the products that are addressed by this software update are installed on this computer. Click Cancel to exit setup.

Anyone have any ideas?  The description for the fix says that it's targeted at profiling, so maybe there's a component of Visual Studio involving profiling that I haven't installed?

If you get that, then just move on to the next fix, if any.  Some people have more bits of VS installed than others.

Ignore this KB. It's because you have VS2008 Pro.

So can we then pull out that KB and say:

2. Install KB967631KB960075KB957912 and KB971092.
3. Install KB958842 (unless you have Visual Studio 2008 Pro)

... or does the order of hotfixes matter in this case?

Bah... I'd rather keep the text simple and confusing. :D
