Hello all

I am new here and unfortunately I already have a pressing question.
For a Text to Speech project I have been developing and testing on Chrome for a while now.
All is working nice but now the customer wants this to run on a Raspberry Pi 3, so I installed a Raspberri Pi and started testing. But after a full search it turns out that Text to Speech is not present on Chromium and it is impossible to install Chrome.

So I have a big problem and kept searching for a solution until I came across this web page; https://www.chromium.org/developers/how-tos/api-keys

I followed this page completely but I still don't get the Text to Speech on Chromium working?
I've chosen for Providing Keys at Runtime because I'm not linux technical enough to do the other one.

What steps should I take to get this working?

Eternal gratitude for all possible help, regards
Bart

https://www.chromium.org/developers/how-tos/api-keys#TOC-Getting-Keys-for-your-Chromium-Derivative
"Many of the Google APIs used by Chrome are specific to Google and not intended for use in derived products. In the API Console (http://developers.google.com/console) you may be able to purchase additional quota for some of the APIs listed above.  For APIs that do not have a "Pricing" link, additional quota is not available for purchase."

I believe Text-to-Speech is one of those APIs that are proprietary to Google.

For Google voices Chromium and Chrome make an external network request for TTS. This is one way you can make that request yourself https://github.com/guest271314/GoogleNetworkSpeechSynthesis.
