Compiling chromium on Ubuntu 22.04

Greetings,


When following steps at
https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src/+/main/docs/linux/build_instructions.md,
build process complains about Ubuntu 22.04 is not supported. I tinkered
with the file manually and as far as I could see it compiles fine and
runs properly.


All I did was to add jammy to operating system list in the file
./build/install-build-deps.sh.


Can someone who has edit access to this file please modify the file. The
task is not worthy of bug report in my opinion, but happy to log it if
it's needed.

Hi Niranjan,

Are you trying to build stuff on the main branch, or on an older branch?

The main branch already added support for it (at least in theory). If you're trying this on tip-of-tree main branch code and it's not working, please file a bug and give us whatever information you can, because that's definitely worth reporting :).

I was trying to build using the tag 108.0.5359.98. It looks like this tag does not have these changes. May be newer versions will get it from main.

The 108 branch branched off at crrev.com/1058933, and then
crrev.com/1065019 added support for Ubuntu 22.04.
