Hey everyone,

after updating our browser to Chromium 90 we got some complaints from users seeing a white screen when they try to play videos. No matter on which website, no matter which codec.
After some investigation we found out that this can be prevented by setting chrome://flags/#enable-vulkan to disabled. I also found a bug filed on crbug.com for this problem: https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=1214949

Now we are wondering if there is a risk of some unwanted side effects if we set the flag to disabled for all users. I hope sombody can confirm that this would not be a problem.
It looks like there is not patch for this problem in a more recent Chromium version yet.

Thanks for your help!
