I wanna build component_unittests for Linux platform to run unit tests of components/,

but built failed cause lack of some files like third_party/cros_system_api,

so I tried execute build/install-build-deps.sh and build/install-build-deps-android.sh, still failed.

So I wonder if I can build component_unittests for Linux platform.

Yes, component_unittests should build fine on Linux. cros_system_api is a ChromeOS file so it shouldn't be involved.

There must be something wrong with your gclient args or GN args that makes GN think you're building for ChromeOS. Double-check the build instructions at https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src/+/refs/heads/main/docs/linux/build_instructions.md to make sure you're set up correctly.

I assume you're trying to build the Chromium browser on Linux. If you actually ARE trying to build ChromeOS on a Linux development machine, you should ask this question on chromium-os-dev (https://groups.google.com/a/chromium.org/g/chromium-os-dev). chromium-dev is for the browser only.
