After git rebase-update and then gclient sync, ninja -Cout\release
chrome fails with:

ninja: error: loading 'build.ninja': The system cannot find the
file specified.

Is it just me? What has I done wrongs. Thanks for clues. :)

Environment variable GYP not defined

Don't know if that's expected.

However, I got 2 replies privately, that might be useful for other people.

* Did I have target_arch set to x64? If so, I would need to use out\Release_x64.

But, I had not intentionally set x64, and trying again with
out\Releaes_x64 did not help.

* Did I use a space between -C and out\... ?

I did not; I always say "-Cout\Release" or "-Cout/Release". But, I
added a space, and now my build is working.

So. :)

Thanks, all!
