Hello,

I have been going through http://www.chromium.org/developers/design-documents/network-stack/disk-cache to understand disk cache. According to this doc, cached data is stored in cache dir. In Android, I could see cache folder in path - /data/data/com.android.browser/cache, it contains two files while browsing -
browser_state.parcel
com.android.opengl.shaders_cache

First file goes as I close all tabs in browser, it means it is per session based.
I want to see real data cached in disk. According to doc  files are named like -

0x8000002A: external file f_0002A

0xA0010003: block-file number 1 (data_1), initial block number 3, 1 block of length.

How can I see such files in Android phone?

Also, when I clear cache data from browser settings, cached data in disk should get clear, right?

Regards,

Sangeeta

In Desktop temporary files are saved at - %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files, is it same as disk cache in chrome?

That's the disk cache for IE. The Chrome cache on Windows is at:
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Cache

Sorry, don't know where it is on Android.

base/android/path_utils.h's base::android::GetCacheDirectory() calls
into base/android/java/src/org/chromium/base/PathUtils.java. I do not
know what that returns though.

Please also note that the doc is also out of date. For Android now, I believe we use the simple cache backend: http://www.chromium.org/developers/design-documents/network-stack/disk-cache/very-simple-backend.

On Android, I'd like to use the sd card as the storage for the cache and the same cache system as for windows.
Anybody know how to do it ?
