Hello,

I used to pass --enable-logging when launching debug build Chromium on Windows to see logs. But this is not working for me anymore. Any idea how I can turn on logs on Windows debug build Chromium?

Here's my command:

out\Debug\chrome.exe --user-data-dir=D:\src\laksjdf --enable-logging --v=1

I also tried --no-sandbox without any luck.

Best,
Xiaohan

I've always been able to view logging by using Sawbuck on Windows without needing to pass in any additional flags.

Logging stopped working for me too. I'm installing sawbuck, but am also wondering why it stopped working. Did something change? I like being able to see log output in my shell....

It seems by default, all logs are saved in chrome_debug.log file. The doc says that the file is in user data dir, but that's only true for release builds. For debug builds, the log file is actually in out\Debug. I updated the doc to be clear about this.

That being said, I'd still like to see my logs in my shell :)

+1 on adding it again.

What was the reason to remove support for printing logs in cmd on Windows?

Looks like it broke on the switch to VS2013, sorry for not noticing. See http://crrev.com/260738 for details and fix.

Think it was reverted in r260786 (https://codereview.chromium.org/220653002).
