repo sync is too slow

Hi,

I did 'repo sync -n -j 80' and it took ages:

Fetching: 100% (1052/1052), done in 9m19.158s

It used to be a lot faster but in recent years I really notice it.
Does anyone know what is wrong and how to fix it?

this is the browser group, and they use gclient, not repo

it's hard to know for sure with a single log line, but we have a few repos that are quite large and can trigger very slow updates/garbage collection operations.  you'd need a full log to know for sure.

if it's something that happens to you constantly, file a go/repo-bug with a trace log for people to look at.
