I keep getting these emails and I don't understand why. There is no option to u subscribe like in all of the other emails. I am not a developer, please help me stop these emails! They just keep coming!

Just look at the button of one of those emails there are options for unsubscribing.

Try sending a blank e-mail to chromium-dev...@chromium.org (note that +unsubscribe in the address, it is important). If you already did exactly that, skip this.
If that does not work and you are still getting e-mails -
2. Click on the button that has an icon of a head and shoulders.
3. Click on "Leave group" and you are done. Or -
 a. Select in the selection box - "Don't send email updates".
 b. Click on "Save".

And by button, he means bottom.

But yes, literally every message sent on this mailing list tells you how to unsubscribe.

Button / bottom - you're both right!

I see that raindro...@gmail.com is a gmail address, so I assume Rain Trees is using the gmail web interface, which "helpfully" hides message signatures. So at the bottom of each message is a little button with three dots: [...] You need to click that button to reveal the very bottom of the message, which includes the unsubscribe instructions.

I was going to actually quote it here, but I looked back through the thread and I see both pkasting and Adam Lee already quoted it - and both of those quotes were hidden from me by gmail behind the same [...] buttons, presumably because gmail detected it was "just a repeat of text that was already posted". So if the user doesn't already realize those [...] buttons are clickable, they could read this entire thread and still not actually see the instructions in their original format! (Thanks, PhistucK, for posting them in a new format that doesn't get eaten. Hopefully that gives Rain Trees what they

Oh, and this is probably the reason some people post such unreadable comments to some posts where the answer is just a single line somewhere in the middle of the commented text. If you use a UI that hides all the rest, it becomes readable.

A couple of people have been using Reply-All, which adds your email address directly as well as well as chromium-dev to their replies, so you've been getting personal copies of all the email since then. Sorry!

I've moved you to BCC for this mail, so that you'll get a copy of this explanation, but you won't be included if anybody hits Reply-All. (In fact I moved everybody else to BCC too, since they're either already included under chromium-dev, or said they wanted to unsubscribe and so probably don't want to be in this thread anymore either.)

Ironically I'm having trouble unsubscribing as well.
I have already sent two black emails to the correct address.
The website says that I an no longer subscribed to any topics in chromium-dev, but I am still receiving mail from this thread; interesting.
