Using OBS Virtual Camera issues

Hello guys,

I've been noticing that there is an issue with using the Virtual Camera from OBS streaming app.

Steps to reproduce scenario:

1. open chrome, navigate to any site that allows you to use a webcam
2. select OBS Virtual Camera from it
3. Then, start OBS, and from it, start the virtual camera
4. (observe that video feed shows up in Chrome exactly as in OBS)
5. Now, keep in mind that OBS is already started, repeat steps 1 and 2 and you will receive an error in Chrome telling you that "the camera cannot be accessed", despite it is a virtual camera and should be possible to use it in many apps at the same time

Now, if you close obs and refresh the site, you can again select "OBS Virtual Camera" as camera source, without any errors.

Can you guys please tell me if this is known issue, or how to fix it?

Is it by any chance related to something like windows media streaming services component of chrome?

Apologies for disturbing you guys with this. I remembered (meanwhile) that I already brought this topic to discussion in 2019 (https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=950984) and the solution was to disable WindowsMediaFoundation so capturing fallsback to DirectShow
