New issue 155805 by bart0...@gmail.com: Video runs really slow (~1 fps)
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=155805

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.4 (KHTML, like
Gecko) Chrome/22.0.1229.79 Safari/537.4

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Go to the URL above, hit the fullscreen button

What is the expected behavior?
The video runs smoothly

What went wrong?
The video runs at ~1fps. I've tried to run this video in google chrome
versions 21.* and above. It runs just fine in 21.*, but in versions 22.*,
23.*-dev and 24.*-beta it runs really choppy

Example URL:
http://www.w3schools.com/html/mov_bbb.mp4

Does it occur on multiple sites: Yes

Is it a problem playing media? Yes

Is it a problem with a plugin? No

Did this work before? Yes 21.*

Does this work in other browsers? N/A

Chrome version: 22.* + Channel: stable
OS Version: Debian

The video works fine on other hardware, e.g. my own workstation. Whatever
has changed somehow doesn't create the problem on all hardware setups

I just found out that installing the very newest NVidia drivers (rather
than the one packaged with Debian Squeeze) resolved this problem. If older
video drivers are not supported by default, this issue can probaby be closed
