New issue 74394 by dirtyhai...@gmail.com: unconfirmed xxx.crdownload won't
delete
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=74394

Chrome Version : 9.0.597.102
OS version : 10.6.6

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. download something
2. "unconfirmed 66039.crdownload" appears on the desktop
3. I try to send it to the trash to delete it

What is the expected result?
It should go to the trash

What happens instead?
an error message pops up, saying, "The item “unconfirmed 66039.crdownload”
can’t be moved to the Trash because it can’t be deleted."

if I try altering the file or extension in any way, an error message pops
up, saying, "The Operation Can't Be Completed. An unexpected error occurred
(error code -8058)."

I can't even move the file to another folder or even another place on the
desktop.

I had a similar issue just a few minutes ago. No active downloads, but
the .crdownload file was on my desktop, and I was unable to remove it.

When viewed the desktop in a Finder window, the file wasn't there. So I
relaunched Finder (cmd + alt + esc will open a window to let you relaunch
Finder).

Fixed the problem for me, hope it works for you.
