http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=73544
Chrome Version : 10.0.648.82 (Official Build 75062) beta
URLs (if applicable) : http://svzsolutions.nl/bugs/chrome-10-beta-slow.html
OS version : 10.6.6
Behavior in Safari 5 (if applicable): Works fine
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open up the provided url and open up the Activity Monitor
2. Hover the box called "Slow", the CPU usage increases alot and the
animation is slow;
3. Hover the box called "Fast", the CPU usage stays normal and the
animation is fast
What is the expected result?
Both cases should be fast.
What happens instead?
The one where an box-shadow is added is is not so smooth and CPU usage
increases to around 70%

Is this still a problem for you with the latest Google Chrome
Dev-Channel-Build (11.0.696.12 dev).
You can find it here:
http://www.google.com/chrome/intl/en/eula_dev.html?dl=mac
Thanks for your help in advance !
Hey, thanks alot, the animations seems to be very smooth again, but in the
website I am creating with it, it runs close against 90% cpu when moving
from animated row to animated row.
Ill try to setup a new test case to furthure stress test it :).
Oh.. these are the specs of my Mac:
- MacBook Air
- Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
- Processor Speed: 1,86 GHz
- L2 Cache: 6 MB
- Memory: 4 GB
- Bus Speed: 1,07 GHz
- Chipset Model: NVIDIA GeForce 320M
- VRAM (Total): 256 MB
I shall also try if enabling hardware acceleration in about:flags does
anything better for me.
