UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_10_0)
AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/39.0.2141.0 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Go to 'chrome://chrome/' page
2. Page Shows 'Update failed (error: 12)'

What is the expected behavior?
Chrome to update..

What went wrong?
Update failed..

Did this work before? No

Chrome version: 39.0.2141.0 Channel: canary
OS Version: OS X 10.10.0
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 15.0 r0

I have tried all of the solutions as well as completely removing chrome and
all of its features. Clean My Mac was installed but Chrome was added to the
exception list.

Unable to repro this issue on MACBooKPro10.9.4 using: 39.0.2141.0 &
39.0.2143.0

Opened Chrome://chrome -- Updates are displayed properly.

@mtthwbrd: Could you please re-check this issue on clean profile and
confirm this.

Unable to reproduce the issue in Mac 10.9.4. I was successfully able to
update chrome canary from 39.0.2141.0 to 39.0.2143.0 and then to
39.0.2144.0.

Not able to reproduce still. Was successfully able to update chrome from
39.0.2144.0 to 39.0.2144.2 today morning on my Mac 10.9.4.

Unable to reproduce this on mac 10.9 - Could you please try the same on
