New issue 95439 by earthso...@gmail.com: djvulibre-libre plugin does not
render djvu files - "Missing Plug-in"
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=95439
Chrome Version : 15.0.871.0
OS Version: Ubuntu 10.10
URLs (if applicable) : http://djvu.org/docs/1998_browsing.djvu
Other browsers tested:
Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue:
Firefox 3.x: OK
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. symlink djvulibre-plugin 3.5.22-9 to chrome directory
2. open a djvu file
What is the expected result?
To see the djvu file rendered.
What happens instead?
"Missing Plug-in" in the middle of the browser area.
Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.
An old (possibly similar?) issue was closed (issue 12482), and it may not
even be related, but on Ubuntu 10.10 w/ djvulibre-plugin 3.5.22-9, I
get "Missing Plug-in" when trying to view djvu files in either chrome
15.0.865.0 dev or chromium 15.0.871.0 (Developer Build 99583 Linux). In
about:plugins, both chrome and chromium show it handling the following MIME
types:
MIME types:
MIME type Description File extensions
image/x-djvu DjVu File .djvu .djv
image/x.djvu DjVu File .
image/djvu DjVu File .
image/x-dejavu DjVu File (obsolete) .
image/x-iw44 DjVu File (obsolete) .
image/vnd.djvu DjVu File .
An example djvu file: http://djvu.org/docs/1998_browsing.djvu
Should I open a new bug?
Do the missing file extensions have something to do w/ this, perhaps?

This actually doesn't seem to have anything to do with extensions, but
rather plugins. Changing the feature label and re-marking it as Untriaged.
The example in my original comment is serve3d as content-type
image/vnd.djvu.
