ENVIRONMENT
Chrome : 29.0.1516.3
OS : Win7/MacOSX

REPRO STEPS
1. Start a clean profile
2. Sign in to sync (sync everything)
3. browse bunch of websites.
4. Go to chrome://history
5. Navigate to extensions or settings page (click extensions/settings on
the left side)
6. Come back to history page and refresh.

ACTUAL RESULTS
All the history items are duplicated (see the screenshot)

EXPECTED RESULTS
History items are not displayed twice.

ADDITIONAL INFO
This is a regression in M29. Not able to reproduce in 28.0.1500.20
This is also reproduced when you sign in to chrome.

Hmm, I just tried it on Version 29.0.1517.3 canary and I couldn't reproduce?

Can you reliably reproduce? How did you go back to history, did you click
the history entry on the left tab?

I guess I'm missing something.

Yes I can repro it 100%.
Click history on the left tab to go back to the history page. This is only
reproduced when you are signed in to sync.

Hmm, just to make sure, could you try with 29.0.1517.3 as well(latest
Canary) ?

This is what I have tried:
1. Sign in with a profile
2. Clear history to make sure everything is gone.
3. Visit a couple of websites.
4. Go to chrome://history. Everything is ok.
5. Click settings in the left tab.
6. Click history in the left tab. Everything is ok.
7. Click refresh in the navbar. Everything is ok.

Ok, so I managed to reproduce on Release build. After doing bisect the best
range I got was:

Interestingly enough my bad revision is before the M27 branch point, but I
haven't been able to reproduce in any stable builds. Still, nothing pops up
from there, so I'll keep investigating.

Should be fixed as the root cause was fixed in http://crbug.com/244806
