Same problem here:
Chrome 14.0.835.163 (Ubuntu 11.04)

Can't generate access code. Session has ended instead.
I also have an @googlemail.com address.

Can't test with a @gmail.com address since I don't have one...

I tested the app using both an @googlemail.com and @gmail.com account, and
I can confirm your results:

It is not possible to generate access codes while logged into an
@googlemail.com account, so while the app is offered in German, it is only
of very limited use to those having a German GMail account.

By the way, it is perfectly possible for an @googlemail.com user to access
the computer of a @gmail.com user. Just the other way around it is not
working, yet. Please fix. :)

Comment #8 on issue 99575 by pascal.h...@googlemail.com: Chrome Remote

i found a workaround.
When you change @googlemail.com to @gmail.com in Local Storage via Dev
Tools, Chrome Remote will work.

And when you have an @gmail.com-Address and change the value to an
@googlemail.com-Address it fails

With the same @gmail.com account :
it works with my home pc (in Seven)
but fails with my office PC (in Vista) because I can't generate access code.

For those folks complaining about it not working with a gmail address,
could you please verify that you are not attempting to make the connection
from a corporate laptop that may have policies installed to control CRD?

Also, please verify your system clock is set to the correct time. Having
an incorrect system clock may cause similar symptoms to those reported here.

Comment #20 on issue 99575 by Faileas....@gmail.com: Chrome Remote Desktop

yup. Desktop with a fresh plain vanilla windows xp home install, not part
of a corporate network nor does it have any policies set up as all - no
additional software other than essential drivers and, hotfixes and
microsoft security essentials . Tested with firewall turned on and off.

Comment #21 on issue 99575 by Faileas....@gmail.com: Chrome Remote Desktop

Managed to fix the issue on my end - apparently my clock was a LITTLE off,
and syncing it with windows time server fixed it.
