New issue 67690 by tommis: Unwanted default apps - Poppit and Entanglement
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=67690
Chrome Version : 10.0.612.1 dev
It seems latest dev builds come with two pre-installed games: 'Poppit'
and 'Entanglement'.
After doing some Google searches on these, I got the feeling that many
users where as confused about this as I was at first: "How did these get
here"? "Did something maliciously install them?"
I think something should be done to either make it clear these are
preinstalled games or give an option to install the "sample" games. I
personally did not want to have these, but had no choice and to remove them
user has to right click each app to select uninstall.
I would ask Chromium devs to re-evaluate the concept and see if there is
some way to give users the some opt-out/choice before they are "installed"
or give a clear option to get rid of preinstalled apps.
