UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.2; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.11 (KHTML,
like Gecko) Chrome/23.0.1271.64 Safari/537.11

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Installed Chrome
2. Update Error
3. Complete uninstall
4. Fresh install
5. Same error

What is the expected behavior?
Resolve update error 0x80040154

What went wrong?
I installed Chrome 22.0.1229.94 after a fresh install of windows 8 x64.
Since Chrome was installed, it cannot check for updates.
After launching latest version 23, I still got same error.
Under Windows enterprise Evaluation copy, I didn´t have this issue. I neede
to download Chrome 23 and install it manually. But error is still the same.

Did this work before? N/A

Chrome version: 23.0.1271.64 Channel: beta
OS Version: 6.2 (Windows 8)

I checked following.
When I install Google Chrome with a offline installer this error occurs.
But when I install Chrome with the web installer, it works fine.
Why ?
