Have same problem. Normally using the HTML5 lab app. But doing as 9
suggested reverted to flash, fixed the issue.
So the conclusion must be that there is something in the HTML5 app that
doesnt work...

Comment #16 on issue 131257 by mcrumil...@gmail.com: Google Play Music
I have this program from multiple computers, and I've noticed it only
happens behind certain networks. I believe it may be a port issue--I've
just tested port 5228 and turns out it's blocked by my organization (as is
everything else). Does Google Play attempt to initiate new connections? If
it were client initiated it might be able to resolve this issue.

Well, I was unable to use the laptop that I found this bug on for a period
of 2-3 weeks, as I was repairing it, but now that I'm finally back to it,
it works again. No idea what happened.

I'm having the same problem, but only on the most recent 2 CDs I purchased,
all of my music that I had prior to the 2 CDs work without fail. Also, it
isn't the entire CD only about half of songs in both won't play for some
reason.

Comment #28 on issue 131257 by derekbga...@gmail.com: Google Play Music
I had the same issue while running Chromium on Ubuntu 12.10.
To fix it I went to settings in my music and opened "Music labs".
After clicking Music labs I had to DISABLE HTML5 Audio (see screenshot).
I then scrolled up and clicked "Save Changes"

Then the music would play.

Same issue but with only half of the songs that I bought last night from
itunes and uploaded to googleplay; they are mp4's but I bought 25 songs and
the first 10 give this message and the last 15 play just fine.

Same issues for me. I checked #28, but it was already disabled. I logged
into my company firewall (i'm the admin and can do that). This disables the
blocked sites in our corporate environment. Everything works fine now.

Anybody know how to remove google play music streaming in a firewall....
just kidding.

Comment #41 on issue 131257 by christ...@senshikaze.net: Google Play Music
I see this as well, it ONLY affects purchased music, but not all of them,
and not the same ones each time. Honestly, it seems to happen to newly
purchased songs more than older purchased songs, but that may just be
coincidence. It happens in Flash and HTML5 modes and happens in Chrome
(24.0.1312.68,x64 Ubuntu 12.10) and Nuvola Player (2.0.2), also on x64
Ubuntu 12.10. I hav not tested on OS X or Windows because I don't use OS X
or Windows.

Comment #42 on issue 131257 by david....@gmail.com: Google Play Music
If the company firewall that I am behind is causing this issue, wouldn't it
block all playback of any songs? Why can I only play certain songs but not
others? The problem occurs with songs that I have purchased or uploaded
myself.

#28 worked for me but only at home on my own personal network. #28 does not
work while at work.

Comment #43 on issue 131257 by mizo9...@gmail.com: Google Play Music
Agreed; same here. Works fine anywhere but at work, and only certain songs,
mostly recently purchased ones are 'skipped'.

I had hoped this would be fixed by now or at least responded to; I am
actively looking around for alternatives to listen to music while I work.

Please report Google Music bugs through this form:

http://support.google.com/googleplay/bin/static.py?hl=en&ts=2481849&page=ts.cs

If you have a Chrome specific bug (i.e. Google Music works in other
browsers, but not in Chrome, please file a new bug as this one is old and
has meandered too much).
