Comment #22 on issue 464044 by
pedro.lu...@tensator.com: Chrome remote
Good day dear all,
Apologies for not posting my issue related to this CRD thing here at first
time, but i only have found this forum today. Bellow there is a paste of my
original post in
productforums.google.com, which did not return any valid
reply from support team.
The company i work for was one of the first ones to acquire the full google
suite, that includes the corporate Gmail domain (@
tensator.com).
I have been using Chrome Remote Desktop App on the enterprise Corporate
scenario for about 4 months now, adding and remote controlling dozens of
remote hosts, and i was very happy with the stability and ease of use it
offers.
I had one issue 2 months ago, when a few hosts came offline (grayed out)
on the RD app hosts list. The issue was that even though i uninstall and re
install the app on the grayed remote hosts, they would never again be seen
as online to the other hosts. After some search, i read somewhere on this
forums other users reporting the same issue, and telling that what could
cause it was the fact that they were using corporate google accounts as
user. I have gone physically to all the remote hosts site locations i could
not access anymore, and remote accessed all the hosts that were still
showing as online, and linked them to this gmail account i am using now.
All hosts become online, stable and accessible for around 1 month.
3 days ago, without any modification from my side on the software, OS or
Networks of the hosts, all the hosts i have with chrome remote desktop
connection become as offline and grayed out, showing a (OUT OF DATE)
message, even though they are all online, accessible from and to the
internet, with the latest version of the app installed (nov. 2014...), with
the latest version of Google Chrome installed. A good percentage of this
hosts are not behind any hard of soft firewall, have windows firewall
service disabled as well.
I tried on the hosts i could access physically:
Disabled and re enabled remote connections
Uninstalling and re installing the Google Chrome Remote Desktop App
Uninstalling and re installing Google Chrome
Windows updates
Creating a dummy gmail account and adding the hosts to it
Creating a passphrase to encrypt the data of user account that controls the
hosts on the Advanced Sync Settings
Despite all this modifications i have done, ALL the hosts are still grayed
out as offline, even though i know they are online. The only hosts i can
see always online, even after i change account owner email, is a Ubuntu
Server...
This is Bizarre and is taking my professional productivity bellow to a
dangerous level, as i am getting hit with support calls from hosts i cannot
reach physically. Everything related to my work is pilling up, as i greatly
rely on Chrome remote desktop app to accomplish my day to day tasks...
Please help!
Best regards
