New issue 57515 by simon.g.dewey: Chrome 7.0.517.24 has issues
authenticating with proxy server
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=57515

Chrome Version : 7.0.517.24
URLs (if applicable) :
Other browsers tested:
Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue:
Safari 4:
Firefox 3.x:
IE 7: yes
IE 8: yes

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. try to reach external URL though proxy server
2. enter correct username and password (checked in password manager)

What is the expected result?

Access to requested external web-page.

What happens instead?

Authentication failure on proxy (so can't get out of firewall) and
disabling of AD account if >3 failure attempts!

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.

Proxy server access was an issue in Chrome v1 & 2, but hasn't been an issue
until auto update to 7.0.517.24.

This is a real pain, although i'm working around it by using IE Tab to
access all external web pages.
