The problem is not about chrome, your problems becomes from the end
character sent by your barcode scanner. Try setting it to a different
character.
Good Luck boy!!
We have ran into a similar problem with Chrome. We are using a USB barcode
reader to scan orders at a shipping terminal. This works when rendering
the site with IE or Firefox, but not Chrome. For us it doesn't open a new
tab like was written about initially. It just does... nothing.
I thought for sure these readers worked just like a keyboard wedge and that
the applications had no awareness of them, but apparently this isn't the
case.
someone found a solution to this?
I'm with the same problem ...
I do not want to use another browser :(
The Author of comment 1 is correct that you need to change the end
character sent from the barcode reader. The default setting of my barcode
reader is CR+LF (Carriage return and line feed) and I was getting the
Downloads problem mentioned above; after I changed mine to just CR it works
fine in chrome (and still presses "Enter" after entering the barcode).
