The problem is not about chrome, your problems becomes from the end
character sent by your barcode scanner. Try setting it to a different
character.

Good Luck boy!!

Aha, maybe the typical problem that success with all the rest of
browsers unless Chrome.

If my standard barcode works in Firefox, Safari, Opera, Internet
Explorer... the problem, the bug is for all these browsers but not for
chrome. i understand.

Now i attempt to open my barcode, extract the Cmos chip, reflash them
in my all days eproom reflasher with a home made firmware for changr
the end character and reprobe them... Easy

Please, fix!

;)

We have ran into a similar problem with Chrome. We are using a USB barcode
reader to scan orders at a shipping terminal. This works when rendering
the site with IE or Firefox, but not Chrome. For us it doesn't open a new
tab like was written about initially. It just does... nothing.

I thought for sure these readers worked just like a keyboard wedge and that
the applications had no awareness of them, but apparently this isn't the
case.

The Author of comment 1 is correct that you need to change the end
character sent from the barcode reader. The default setting of my barcode
reader is CR+LF (Carriage return and line feed) and I was getting the
Downloads problem mentioned above; after I changed mine to just CR it works
fine in chrome (and still presses "Enter" after entering the barcode).
