New issue 74307 by dawind...@gmail.com: chrome 10.0.648.114 beta adobe
flash plugin problem
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=74307
Google Chrome 10.0.648.114 (Official Build 75702) beta
WebKit 534.16 (branches/chromium/648@79369)
V8 3.0.12.23
User Agent Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US) AppleWebKit/534.16
(KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/10.0.648.114 Safari/534.16
Command Line /opt/google/chrome/google-chrome --flag-switches-begin
--flag-switches-end
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. click on a page that requires adobe flash
2. in place of the flash graphic, a jigsaw puzzle piece is displayed.
3. right mouse on the jigsaw and it says the plugin is out of date and
gives the option to install a new one from adobe.
4. try to install the one labeled APT for ubuntu 9.04+. Not sure if this is
the right one.
5. hit the download button then try to run it. Nothing happens.
6. i am not an expert ubuntu user, sorry.
7. apparently this would be getting the plugin from adobe and it would not
be automatically updated. i prefer the one that is built into chrome--not
sure why it would be obsolete. i updated to the latest chrome beta not long
ago.
8. thanks
What is the expected result?
