What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Login to HBO Go.
2. Browse any series.
3. Select an episode to play.

Result:
3.1 The episode doesn't play.

Note:
The contents don't seem to be FA since I am able to play the videos with
content protection disabled.
The whole interface is Flash based, so not sure if these are all just
interface/UI problems.

1.
If I select a video thumbnail which has '>' (play) sign on it, the video
plays fine. But anything which requires UI navigation (ie. browse episodes
to select one of them from the next screen), it ends with a blank screen
as Mark mentioned.

2. Sometimes it opens a blank grey screen when playing a video in full
screen mode.

The issue reproduce in mac 10.8.2 chrome version 23.0.1271.60 for the below

I was not able to reproduce this error on Win7, Mac 10.7 and Mac 10.8 with
23.0.1271.60

however, on Mac 10.8 after I started several episodes. then go back and
refresh. I got a plugin stop responding infobar, and tab hanged but not
crashed, I had to re-launch Chrome , login HBO again to continue play
episode. however, did not encounter fatal video play error at any point.

I think this may have the same as cause as issue 134911. Basically adding
export LANG=en_US.utf8 to the session_manager_setup.sh fixed this when I
gave the machine for testing to Rohit. The problem is there is an attempted
fix in Chrome and maybe the fix belongs in Pepper Flash. As this also
affects Song Pop, Farmville 2 I still want to spend some time to understand
properly what is going wrong. But I hope it will get fixed soon.
