What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Get to a form and select "Upload file"
2. In the File Chooser browse to an image
3. The browser crashes (all tabs) when selecting the image

What is the expected result?
Expected would be to select the image and be allowed to upload it.

What happens instead?
Google-Chrome crashes

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.
Running on ArchLinux x64 OS.

+1 (not sure why it happens on certain files and not others either)

It's happening to me on GOogle Chrome latest version for Linux in Arch
Linux 64 using Gnome.

The error I get is "Segmentation Fault" most of the time when trying to
select a jpg in when uploading a file ("open file" screen for me).

"Segmentation Fault" is the only hint. I have a feeling it has to do
possible with libjpeg6... ? Is there a log I can view with more details to
submit for Google Chrome?

Description of the crash (should be useful for debugging).
Google-chrome version 5.0.375.86, running on Slackware Linux 13.1.
When I select a file in my home directory, fine. It uploads it!
When I try to change to any other directory (in the popup file chooser),
chrome crashes.
Is this useful?

Same here - OpenSuse 11.3 64bit, Chrome 6.0.472.55, crashes when i select
some photo in open file dialog. That's really bad, makes me to use firefox
instead when I need to upload/attach pictures...

I can also confirm this bug. Using Google Chrome 7.0.503.1 dev in LXDE on
Arch Linux 32-bit.

I can confirm it too. I have arch linux 64 bits and google chrome
6.0.472.59 beta. It crash when i select a picture for any page (i think
that the problem is in libjpg6 too).

Client: 334BBFB735583AE74DCB0D1499169A20

A workaround is to drag the image file from another window. As it does not
try to show a thumbnail preview an image file which was brought this way,
it works.

Still happens here. Version 10.0.648.204. It just segfaults.
