New issue 177255 by m...@jakeisonline.com: Unable to load previously saved
Heap Snapshot files
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=177255

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.17 (KHTML,
like Gecko) Chrome/24.0.1312.57 Safari/537.17

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Go to any website, www.google.com will be fastest
2. Open the developer tool
3. Go to "Profiles" within the now open tools
4. Select "Take Heap Snapshot" and start
5. Once finished, right click on that Snapshot and "Save Heap Snapshot..."
somewhere you can easily access it
6. Close that tab
7. Open a new tab and go to the website you visited in Step 1
8. Open Developer Tools and go to "Profiles" once more
9. Right click in the left pane, and select "Load Heap Snapshot..."
10. Find that snapshot from Step 5 and click "Open"

What is the expected behavior?
I'd expect the Heap to load, so I can inspect that snapshot

What went wrong?
Nothing happens at all when you try to load the Heap. Not even any feedback
in the form of a loading spinner. No errors present themselves.

Did this work before? N/A

Chrome version: 24.0.1312.57 Channel: stable
OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2)

This is also the case on OSX

Cannot reproduce the problem on 26.Linux 25.windows and on ToT
Did you changed the extension of the snapshot files?

Yeah, looks like the Snapshots I was exporting in Chrome 24 came without a
file extension. Snapshots I'm saving in 25 now seem to have their
extensions. That seems to have been the issue.

Now I have a new issue: when loading they get to 100% and just... carry on
spinning. Can't load any snapshot, new or old. I'll submit another issue
for it.
