i heard that the chrome extensions are discontinued by the webstore for mac and windows. we aren't upload any new extensions to chrome store, is that true ??

That is not correct for extensions.  Chrome Apps have been deprecated on non-ChromeOS platforms (see the announcement here), but Chrome Extensions are still fully supported across Windows, Mac, Linux, and ChromeOS.
