I'm developing an IOT application/device based on Chromium browser.  I'm running on a Pi4 with the latest raspberry OS.  The latest version of Chromium for this OS is 68 which is what I have I've researched setting it up in Kiosk mode, however none of the setup changes have been able to stop two Chromium messages from displaying:

1.  Chromium couldn't update to the latest version, so your mission out on new features and security fixes.
2.  Chromium did not shut down properly would you like to Restore the pages?  <<Restore>>

None of these message are appropriate for a user when in Kiosk mode as they don't have the ability to act on it and it's not in alignment with running it as an app.  I have tried some of the tricks on line such as using a linux "sed" command to update the 'Local State' and Preferences file to indicate a proper shutdown ie modifying the exit_cleanly, and exit_type flags.  I can't stop the user from unplugging the unit.

Also, I'd like to update Chromium automatically, but haven't figured out how to do this on remote devices running on a Pi4 Raspberry OS.  I can't go out to each user and take the unit back to run an update and reconfigure.

I've also tried the following command line flags:  disable-auto-reload, block-new-web-contents-suppress-message-center-popups, no-user-gesture-required (I use a mic), noerrdialogs, disable-infobars.  None of these flags stop the two popup messages from occurring.

Does anyone have a way to stop these from occurring in Kiosk mode?

Thanks,

Bruce
