I was referred here by the Google Chrome Forum...  In a nutshell, I am trying to open Chrome using a second user profile with its own custom stylesheet.

I am not a developer... just an end user so excuse me for not having any programming experience...

Without complicating things, here's what I have worked out so far...

1) I have created a second user account called "SecondProfile" and I have created a shortcut for it (the target being:"C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --user-data-dir="..\User Data\SecondProfile"
2) I know that I need to include the flag or switch or whatever it is called "--enable-user-stylesheet" at the end of the target above.. but I can't get it to work properly

Can anyone give me some guidance here? I have been able to do this very easily in Firefox.. but I am desperately trying to get away from using Firefox and would prefer to use Chrome...

Thank you...

Within your user data directory ("..\User Data\Second Profile"), where the "Extensions", "Cache" and such folders exist (maybe within a "Default" folder), there should be a "User StyleSheets" folder. If it does not exist, create it and create a file named "Custom.css" inside of it. Make sure it is saved using the UTF 8 encoding. Edit the file and save your custom CSS.

I really, really appreciate your reply.... thanks. I am still trying to figure this out myself and its been puzzling me like crazy all day. I actually already have a working CSS because I have tried it in the Default profile, and it works fine.. I just need it to work in the second profile... and for that, I just need to work out the right sequence of flags/switches in the shortcut target...

Én hivatkozott itt a Google Chrome Fórum ...
