In the development of extensions following problem:
The extension has _locales.
Messages get function chrome.i18n.getMessage.
How to change the language extensions?
For example, you need to getMessage received reports on the locale,
the locale is different from a browser.

Hi,

http://code.google.com/chrome/extensions/i18n.html has all the details for how you can test different locales, for example you can launch Chrome with a special --lang=en command line flag.

I'm not interested in how to run Chrome in a different language. The
question is how to use the language extensions, different from the
language of Chrome.
For example, the system language Chrome Russian. I want to use to
extensions the English language. Is this possible?
Is it possible to make a choice of language extensions in the settings?

No, unless you change your system settings, or launch Chrome with the --lang command line flag.

If you feel like this should be a feature, please raise a bug on http://crbug.com/

It is unfortunate that this feature is not available.
I think it would be nice to add a function getMessage optional
parameter that specifies the language.
For example: chrome.i18n.getMessage ("messagename" [, language]);

I think it is a good idea, or at least letting you easily configure it.  I would add it to http://crbug.com so we can track it and see how popular the feature is.

I think with my knowledge of English will be hard for me to explain
the essence of the ideas to be understood correctly.
