Hi there,

I am trying to build a CrUX dashboard following the instructions laid out in this article:

When I add my origin URL, and then click "Add", it generates the below error message:

Community Connector Error

There was an error caused by the community connector. Please report the issue to the provider of this community connector if this issue persists.

Connector details

There was an error caused by this connector.

Error ID: undefined

---
This has happened for several different URLs that I have tried and on several different browsers.

Is this a known issue ? If not, what can I do to fix it ?

Thank you,
Ben

I've confirmed the dashboard is working so a few things to check:
  • Can you see site's CrUX data in the "Discover what your real users are experiencing" of PageSpeed Insights: https://pagespeed.web.dev/ ?
  • Have you used the standard dashboard (as launched from here: https://developer.chrome.com/docs/crux/dashboard/#accessing-the-crux-dashboard)? To be honest this is the way I recommend to access the CrUX Dashboard, as we managed this dashboard and ensure it is kept up to date. Only create your own copy if you want to customize it beyond what's on the standard dashboard, but be aware it may become out of date as new metrics are added and you will need to add those yourself..
  • If you really want to create your own copy of the dashboard, then can you confirm this works for https://web.dev as one example? That worked for me.
  • You can also check if your site is listed in the CrUX BigQuery dataset. Millions of sites are but not all sites.

Hi Barry,

I appreciate the response.

Is data from pagespeed.web.dev on my website covering international SEO or from a particular location?

Regards.

Data from pagespeed.web.dev is in two parts:

1) The data at the top "Discover what your real users are experiencing" is global CrUX data from opted-in real Chrome users.
2) The data beneath "Diagnose performance issues" is a Lighthouse test run from a data centre in either North America, Europe or Asia. PSI tries to use the region geographically nearest you where possible. You can see the location in the Throttling settings:
