Massive 3rd-party script removal (AdSense/Push) vs. CruX 28-day rolling average: How does Search treat the "waiting period"?

Hi everyone!

I run a content site in Brazil called Versículo Vivo (https://versiculovivo.com.br) and we recently went through a severe traffic drop. After a deep audit, we realized that implementing Google AdSense and Push Notifications simultaneously severely impacted our Core Web Vitals (specifically causing high LCP and CLS spikes due to ads above the fold and the permission prompt).

We have just completely removed all these intrusive 3rd-party scripts to restore a clean, fast UX.

Here is my question for the community regarding the CruX data: Since CruX reports on a 28-day rolling average, we know our dashboard will look "red" for a few more weeks despite the site being lightning-fast right now. In your experience, does Google Search strictly wait for the 28-day CruX aggregate to reflect the "green" metrics to lift a Page Experience penalty, or do their systems pick up on the immediate field data changes faster to trigger a recovery?

How do you usually handle or monitor this 28-day "waiting period" after a massive CWV fix? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

I can't comment on the Search side, but I did write previously about how to see the impact of any changes before 28 days here:

TLDR the histograms (available in tooling like PageSpeed Insights and CrUX Vis as well as some third-party tools) will move before the headline 75th percentile numbers move so are often a good earlier indicator in situations like this.
