crUX dataset not showing for March, despite having more organic traffic than Feb

Hi there,

I hope you can help us with this question. We were relying on the crUX dataset to monitor our improvements to performance, but we have not been seeing the data for March come in. Our organic traffic has increased month on month so I am not sure why there would be insufficient data. Our website is https://www.byway.travel

It appears from our logs that it was briefly marked as NOINDEX for 4 days at the end of the month—right around the monthly database export was taking place.

Are you aware of any change on the site which would have set this? We have had issues detecting this correctly for some sites where they redirect the home page, but that doesn't look to be the case here so it looks like a change may have happened on the site, or perhaps the Google crawler was blocked for a period?

You can still get history using our CrUX Vis tool, which is a weekly snapshot, rather than the monthly database snapshot. It therefore shows no gaps as we only flagged this as NOINDEX for 4 days.

The good news is you're reporting CrUX data again and so should be in next month's release (assuming we don't detect it as NOINDEX again!).

Hi Barry

Ah thank you, we did an implementation to stop our staging links being indexed, but had an issue where our normal links also stopped being indexed for a moment.  That's very helpful to understand! We'll use the weekly data for now.
